Tough Love! In reverse?

"I'm having ice cream instead of dinner and that's that, Mom! "
Brock can get into the freezer now and knows right where all the treats are located. On this day, he helped himself to an ice cream sandwich.

Tim Turns Five!

Tim turned five and started pre-school all on the same day! It was quite an exhausting day for him to say the least! His thoughts about his first day of school were, "It's so boring!" We're hoping that attitude changes very soon!:-) He was very excited about turning five but reminded us several times that he's still our little boy. He had his party at Blainebrook Bowl and said it was "great!" Many of his friends were able to join him in shooting for a strike!

Brock's 2nd Birthday

Brock turned two on July 27th. We ended up celebrating a couple different times with friends and family. He enjoyed the several sittings of cake:-) A few situations that describe him at this age: standing on the kitchen table pouring his milk on the floor, standing on the dining room table hanging on the chandelier, and "diving" to the floor from the couch during the Olympics. Although he's quite the dare-devil, he's also a very sweet little cuddler. His favorite thing to do is lay with his "blankies" and kick-back! (Besides brushing his teeth!)

A Day at the Beach

We spent a few days at the beach near our house, Crystal Beach Park. Brock surprised Mom when he chased the ducks into the water.

Okoboji with Kids

Kristine and the boys went to Lake Okoboji and had a great time! There were seven kids age five and under with four moms supervising. Needless to say, it was a little hectic, but a lot of fun. From oldest to youngest the children include: Kyla, Tim, Morgan, Brayden, Myles, Kooper, and Brock. Even though there were only two girls, they pretty much ran the show. Imagine that:-)Tim is still talking about how much fun he had and how he is looking forward to next year!

Final Days at CDLC

Tim has been attending preschool at CDLC (Child Development Learning Center) located in our church, Prince of Peace, since September. He has spent a lot of time there since he also attends Sunday school at CDLC. That being said, the end-of-the-year picnic was bitter sweet. He was so excited for his "class picnic" but quite confused about why this was the "last day." His first response was, "So, will Sue B (teacher) come to my house?" So cute! We're still explaining that one:-) As things come to an end, we're thankful for a great school year and looking forward to a fun-filled summer!

Visiting Great Grandma Helen

We went to see Great Grandma Helen over Memorial Day weekend at her nursing home and had a great visit! The kids were quite entertaining to all of the residents as they played and ran around the house. We all spent some time out on the beautiful deck watching the birds and chasing bubbles. (Grandma Laurie brought along one of our favorite toys; a billion bubbles.)
